Margi,

in e-talking with Buddy last night i felt so helpless. it was ironic. i could relate to Elaine and her pain ... but when i tried to console Buddy i realized how lacking i was in offering suggestions to our supporters. i live alone and i think about how different it'd be if i didn't ... and all the extra emotions i'd have to deal with.

Margi, drummer's wife, and Buddy ... you are a group with as heavy a burden as ours - possibly more at times.

when we have the convention(s) ... this subject should be included at the top of the list. i'm not exposed to the agony of watching and being watched. Buddy brought that home to me in spades. i suggested that Buddy contact you Margi because i was as helpless to advise him as observers are to advise their CHeads. it's heart wrenching. this pain goes beyond CH - way beyond.

it's as hard to watch us as it is to be us. the single thing we both must guard against is hopelessness. whatever we have to do to avoid that emotion is paramount. that is the subliminal enemy that will drive a CHead to suicide and a sigO to leave. drummer, Kip, and others have consistently posted the need to believe IT WILL END ... that's the shield against hoplessness for us ... what is the shield for our supporters? you guys are the steel of humanity. i cannot address it - but it needs addressed.

i'm so glad Elaine got some sleep. that's what she needed more than anything ... but Margi's right on when she says Buddy saved her. this is a subject of paramount importance.

thanks to all who hold us up ... what holds you up??
pain freedom is a human right! feeling it or watching it.
