I too am new to this group, and we may be both blessed to be here and cursed by CH. Already I have received the best of welcomes...in the midst of 6 wks of CH and all. On the oxygen thing..some of the posts I have read say that the managed care folks are sometimes difficult to get to prescribe the O2. It took me three weeks from the onset of CH (this time)to get a script, and man I was pissed...sick....and drained from fighting it each day every day. I approached the Dr by letting him know that it was O2 or narcs..one way or the other. The result was that I got both, but it may be a good idea to stress to them that the narcs are last resorts. This all assumes that the damn medical profession has a conscious, of course. My experience in the past years with CH is that few do, and I just had to get ornery with them.
