I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, and am impressed with what a caring bunch of people you are. I have had CH's for the past 10 years off and on. I am 65 years old, and am a caregiver to my Husband who has stage IV Metatastic Melanoma. I won't be able to post much as I am very involved with caring for Dan. I have not had a CH in almost 3 years, and about 6 weeks ago they started up again. It has been so difficult, more than ever before, as I need to have all my senses to care for my husband. I have O2, and am on Verapamil. I did the prednisone for the first 10 days, but being that I also have severe osteoporosis, my Dr. will not give me anymore. I also have intestinal problems, and the verapamil makes that worse. I was wondering if there are any meds that do not contribute to Constipation as the Verapamil does. I am at the point of just giving up - both my husband and I are - everything seems so hopeless. Why these horrible CH's had to come back on me at this time, when Dan needs me so much, is very hard for me to understand. Sorry to send such a despondent post, but thought that someone may be able to tell me about a med that does not constipate you. Was just reading the "Brave Warrior" posts. That's what I call my husband. Thanks for listening. Arlene
