Lynn, sounds like your doctor is just guessing his way through your pain. Have her/him get you to a neurologist. An MRI and CAT scan is needed as a precaution. When you get to the neurologist ask first thing "Ever heard of a cluster headache?" if the answer is yes, ask "Ever treated a cluster?" If the answer is still yes, you're in luck. Study this site and arm yourself with information before you see the neuro. (and before you go back to your regular doc.
