I am a smoker, but the actual smoking itself does not trigger CH, but smelling a filled ashtray does! Within 10 minutes whammo, richterscale 10 attack.
Went into a cycle after NOT smoking for some years, started smoking again during that cycle.
Just like there are people who are triggered by parfume's and other strong smells, I think smoking tabacco triggers CH in some people but is absolutely not the CAUSE.
