Lynn, when you say you have stabbing pains 4 or 5 times in a row, sounds like Trigeminal Neuralgia. I'm not a doctor tho. Like the others has said see a neuro and get an MRI. Sorry you are having pain. There is other medicine that they try with Trigeminal Neuralgia, usually start with Tegretol.
How high are you on Indocin? 150mg is usually a good dose, but I'm not a doctor! Good luck!
