Hi Vince,

here's what i do. i figured the recommendation from Dr. Jerry was for a 24 hour day ... and that i had to make up for sleep time during waking hours.

he suggested 8oz every 30 minutes. that's 384 ozs/day. a gallon is 128 ozs, so that's 3 gallons per day.

there's no way.

so, i have five 50 oz bottles (=1.5 liters each) in my fridge. every day i try to go thru them once. that's just about 2 gallons per day. when i started, i only did about 1 gallon/day and it reduced my HAs significantly ... then i did the math. then i doubled my intake ... cuz at 3 gallons/day my bladder would burst.

sometimes (like on weekends when i sweat a lot) i go over the 5 bottles ... but i find that the more i drink the less i battle CH. on days when i can down 6 or more bottles, i only get up at night to paint the porclein - but not to fight the enemy. (and after tapping my kidneys, i do an 8 oz glass while i'm up).

at bedtime, i weigh 170 (on a low intake day, 1-1.5 gallons) and 175 (on a 2+ gallon day) ... but i weigh about 168 when i get up in the morning. a testimony to water-weight loss, i guess. i'm just about 6' even.

before CH, i drank next to no water at all. i would drink 3-4 gallons of milk per week, tho. (now, of course, there's precious little room for milk!)

so, i think it may be weight/height (body size) related, and possibly water-history related, but 2 gallons seems to be my threshold for effectiveness.

assuming your large glass is 10 ozs, and you drink one of those an hour for 16 waking hours ... that's 160 ozs per day (about 1.2 gallons). if you're close to my height/weight - i'd say you need to bump it up a bit to have it work for you.

i know it's a lot, but
Pain Freedom is a Human Right (even if you have to have a private bathroom! heheheh)
