It sounds like your husband needs another doctor NOW! Find a neurologist that knows about and has treated clusters. Ask him or her before you even waste time with an appt. There are many, many different meds & combinations of med being used by this group. Read some of the posts, print them off for the doctor; if your husband hasn't tried some of these he should. I personally have a fair amount of success with a verapamil & serzone combo. (We are experimenting with other things too. No further success yet.) I too use oxygen as an abortive. Use the search engine on this web site for water. I know it sounds very simple but many have achieved amazing success with it & I have had some success in decreasing the # of CH.
