fwiw, i agree imitrex is contraindicated w/ high
bp, but the package data says "uncontrolled" high
bp. i've been taking the antihypertensives longer
than imitrex and no harm done. i might add that:
a) the same physician who has me on the zestril
is the one who prescribed the imitrex.
b) i've been taking imitrex pretty regularly,
during this cluster, for a month or more, 50-
150mg/day, depending, and i had my bp checked
today-- a tad high, but well within my normal
range.
c) i do experience a feeling i call "tightness"
in the chest, but it's not disturbing or scary. in
fact, to me it means the headache med's are
working.
that said, i agree w/ nancy-- consult your
physician *first*!
