DHE is great and what your doc is doing is "standard procedure" (going into ER every 8 hours for the IV injection). I've done this and also had visiting nurses come to the house every 8 hours to do this. The DHE elevates your blood pressure and needs to be watched.
If the cycle isn't broken in three days (that usually does it, but after three days they have to change the IV site anyhow), you may need to take some more DHE shots in the rear (don't let anyone put them in your arm). The last time it took 28 shots before mine broke.
