I suspect that even though the copyright of this thing is 1995 that most of this is old. I would bet anything that the author warmed over some of the earliest literature for his book. The reason I say this is because it contains things that I saw in print about 25 years ago and never saw again - specifically the reference to heart disease and some of the references to medication.
This is not to say that there are not truths here- there certainly are.
