Took my husband to the ER tuesday with a severe CH. She took down all the "important" information and called the nurse??? She then took all the information from another couple before she called the doctor for my husband!!!! The doctor appeared 20 minutes later and went to the other person first!!!! My husband was kind enough to make it to the bathroom instead of throwing up all over the floor as no one had supplied him with anything in case he threw up. The doctor finally came in and spoke "briefly" to my husband as he had already decided to play GOD and diagnois his problem. I asked him what he had prescribed and he said Vistril???? I told him that would not take care of the headache after he asked me if I was familiar with the drug???? He asked what they usually gave him and I told him Stadol. he said we'll see how this works and left the ER. I asked the nurse if that was all he had prescribed and she said YES!!!! I let go of my Factory Mouth and said after more than an hour and that's ALL he prescribed??? I told my husband and we went to the main office. OF COURSE, the hospital admenstrator was NOT in and they sent the next person in line. Let me tell you she could NOT have cared less of our problem!!! I then had to take him home, call our doctor's office and then drive him over there(30miles) to see another doctor because our doctor was not in. Thank goodness the doctor listened but ONLY gave him a small shot and a prescription. The headache lasted 6 1/2 hours thanks to an ER doctor that played GOD. WHY do we have to put up with people like this?? TOO bad he did not blow his lunch on the doctor instead of the bathroom. How many of you have been treated as JUNKIES???
