Before I travel, I go to my doc and get enough meds to last me till I get back. BUT get a note from the doc saying WHY you have all these meds with you. Sometimes custom officials think you're not on the up and up without the note.
My doc wrote a note on an RX pad that says: Due to Cluster Headaches, Barbara D. must carry medicines and syringes with her at all times.
And make darn sure you have the scrip numbers on the meds.
I don't know how India is, but in most countries I've been to, meds are a lot easier to get (with or without a scrip) than they are here in the states.
