The symptoms that you're describing are precisely those I had about a year prior to the onset of my first real cluster cycle.
I must also mention that I had an acute sinus infection that was diagnosed about six months later.
Have you checked-out that possibility yet? It's no walk in the park by any means, but oh what I wouldn't do to have THAT conditon back in place of these insidious, destructive and life-altering headaches.
In any case, it would certainly be worth checking with an ear/nose/throat doctor.
Finally, does alcohol exacerbate the condition? For a long while before my first real cycle, drinking would just make the condition you're describing, worse.
Sure hope it's something simple. I'll hold the thought!
