Hi Phil,
Sorry to hear you think this group is "snotty" or exclusive. It's very unfortunate you feel this way and that your introduction to this group is so negative. You will probably never find a group of more caring people - terrific senses of humour, huge hearts, and unconditional acceptance of newcomers. The reason this CLUB has been formed is so that we can work together to find relief, support and someday a cure.
Phil, I grew up having migraines and spent my college years living in fear of the next attack. I am lucky that they stopped when I discovered what my triggers were. HOWEVER, my husband is a Cluster sufferer. I would NEVER lump myself into the same category with his pain. Yes, migraines hurt. Yes, you feel like you want to crawl under a rock and die. Your eyebrows hurt, your skin hurts. You can't stand light or sound. You vomit. But, friend, they are not even on the same scale as the cluster pain I have witnessed at home and read about here on the board. Clusters do not get the medical recognition that migraines do and it is a very complex and different disease than migraine.
If you don't feel you are wearing the right coloured tie, sir - may I escort you to the Migraine support CLUB?
No offense intended and I am not asking for a reply, but I am VERY protective of my Clusterkids...
Margi
