You may want to add SHADOWS to the list.
I remember, years ago, having a doctor ask me, "How can you be having a headache but you say it's not really a headache?"
Doctor, says I, "you just can't imagine what kind of pain it is. And the almost-a-headache I'm feeling now is only a shadow of the real beast."
