DHE needs to be given IV for at least 3 days (thus the hospital). The last time I did that one, I did the hosp thing, then used shots of DHE (be sure to mix it with pheneragan) at home. Ended up with 28 shots before I got a few days relief. When I was episodic, DHE would stop the cycles. It doesn't work that way after you get chronic, but it stops the pain for a while.
