Been doin' the dance for years, now, every spring and fall.
When they came it was Hell, and when they left it was Heaven.

THIS spring was no different...I thought. But, when the clusters
finally sneaked away the shadows began.

I admit, I wasn't sure what our friends were referring to when
they wrote about "shadows," but I've certainly figured it out these
past several weeks. I stay at (1) constantly, which is no big
deal considering the nightly (9)'s of March and April.

Unlike previous remissions, I am no longer able to pretend that I've had
my "last CH." No longer permitted to hope that the
Beast is finally banished. Nope! He lives inside my head.

Shadows will change my life. Blessed remissions meant a return to normalcy,
albeit for a few months at best. Now there are no more evening cocktails,
no more imported cigars (on the deck,) and the panic never goes away when
I reach into my pocket and discover that I've left my medication on the dresser.

Oh, well...if it ain't (1) thing, it's another.

Sleep well....d
