Hi,
I keep three of those gel-filled ice packs in the freezer at all times. Mike lays one on the back of his neck (wrapped in one of those cloth gift bags) and then moves it around on his face, over his eye, on his cheek, wherever he needs it. In a bad one, he can go through all three of them but the cold really does help him.
I have a wierd thing going on, I am allergic to bananas and if I eat one, it feels like the top of my head is coming off - instant migraine - and it happened when we were camping in the mountains. Silly me, I thought maybe I had grown out of my allergy. Wrong. Out of desperation I dunked my head in the river (which is like liquid ice, coming off the mountains, and got instant relief.) The cold must thin out the blood or something.
Water Water Water
