A/c isn't cold enough. The temperature of the air must be 42 degrees or below. I too thought that it was ridiculous to try cold air, especially when moving from one extreme to the other sets off a cluster. But after you have taken 2 shots of Imitrex at 10 PM and the bastard wakes you up at 3 AM, sticking your head in the freezer isn’t such a bad idea. I am a believer in cold air.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that the cold condenses the O2, thus giving your body that extra dose of oxygen? I have good insurance and a doctor who relies on me to suggest my own remedies. In the last year I have found that 2mg of Melatonin at bedtime and an occasional trip to the freezer has made the headaches bearable.

I have not given up my search for a cure, it’s just that I have tried everything else and this seems to have the least side effects on my life. I still carry the Imitrex injections wherever I go just in case I can’t find a freezer available for my head.
