I feel for you with the job situation. I too have been labeled "unreliable" but after dwelling on it for a while, I came to the conclusion that (for me) it's just a sad fact of life. If we're going to have CH's, there will be times when they interfere with work. Once I came to terms with that, I felt like people with other handicaps probably do. There are just some things I'm not capable of during my cycles. With time, I learned not to let it bother me so much and to enjoy life "between the CH's". Hang in there, you can too!!
Meantime, stay active in pursuit of beating the demon. I'm in a tough cycle right now in which nothing seems to prevent them and I'm running out of cash for Imitrex sprays. However, I'm still experimenting and I still have hope that I'll find remission with one of our drugs or methods before too long!!
Wear that doctor of yours out. Then if you still aren't having success, find another (a good neuro with headache experience) and wear him (or her) out too.
