I agree with you Bob. In my situation, my dental staff and patients were very empathetic when they saw what I was going through Feb-April. What really impressed them was when I developed panic attacks after my second regimen of prednisone (I don't ever want that stuff again!) and was prescribed a medication for the anxiety attacks. Hah! It made me very dizzy, so much so that I fell over in my office in front of one of my partners and was pasted on the floor for twenty minutes.

However, while some of us have great support, I know there are still some bosses who only look at the bottom line- people who never get ill with anything themselves, who are naturally suspicious when anyone else has a medical problem, and who especially can't conceive of any chronic condition like CH really affecting an employee. I had a friend in the Air Force who developed Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. His name became mud, and his career was over.

But then again, maybe you are right. Maybe if the coworkers and boss see you there, sweating on one side of your head, pupil dilated, eye tearing, hand to the side of the face, grimacing in pain, maybe they'd get the idea.

Death to the CH BEAST. Wishing you all pain free heads.
