I have had migraines for over 20 years..and know all the symptoms very well. Several days ago, pain began in the "cords" of the back of my neck..and moved up the left side of the back of my head and behind my left ear area. It has been unbearable and I have not been able to work this week. My Fiorinal doesn't help..nothing does. My husband took me to an Emergency clinic last night and the Dr. gave me a shot of something..the strongest thing he could give. It didn't touch the pain..the precription for Vicodin [hydrocodone/apap] does nothing to help it either. He wants me to see a neurologist. Has anyone out there ever had this kind of "headache"? I have no light sensitivity or nausea...I didn't have an "aura"..This is a new kind of pain for me...There is a "pulling" feeling in the back left side..pain worsens when my head is moved to the sides or tipped....Thanks to anyone who can help...
