I get vertigo. It gets worse as the CH pain gets worse. It will sometimes surface now around 8, 9, or level 10 CH. Not always. If I am having shadows or low level of pain I don't have vertigo. Also, the months leading up to my first cluster attack was horrible. I had vertigo so bad I couldn't walk or get out of bed. I went to the dr. with this symptom first. After ruling out ear infection, virus, and having all the ear tests done that you can. About the time I was ready to give up the chronic headaches started with severe onesided pain (throbbing and stabbing pain). Thats when my dr. refered me to a neuro who diagnosed me with CH. I have seen several different neuro's since and It is unanimous that I have CH. Once the headaches started the constant vertigo let up and just came when the pain was bad which happened to be daily for a long while. It took me awhile to tie them to the headaches but I am convinced they are. My dr. is not absolutly convinced but I think it was related to the CH.
