Well, the Bylaws are being worked on. As soon as they are in a form that makes sense, we'll post them on the board for any revisions, comments or whatever.
Everyone wanting to donate money - hang on to it for right now (no don't spend it, we just haven't got to that part yet). As soon as our charter is approved, THEN we'll take money, but for right now just hold it.
Drummer is working on our first newsletter. Margie is working on the Outreach Support. DJ is working on the headaches (bad choice of words) we're all giving him about putting more and more on the board. lc bob is working some overtime, but is still working on OUCH in his spare time. Kip is getting ready to retire at the end of the month, but I'm nagging him. And I'm leaving out about a dozen other people and forgive me, but I just can't think real good right now. Have an eye infection and can't see either.
Drummer told me Saturday that we've only been working on OUCH for about 30 days - seems like a lot longer, but folks we've done a LOT in only 30 days thanks to everyone giving input and offering help. That's what's gonna make this organization go.
But there's still a lot of work to be done. We need researchers for EVERYTHING from meds to disability forms. We need to have info available to anyone who needs it without us each having to go through the whole process and make the same mistakes. There are ways to cut through red tape and we need people to find the way.
I've got everyone who has volunteered in a file and if I don't get back to you as soon as you think I should go ahead a yell at me. I'm old, I forget a lot, and right now I can't see too well. And excuses are like rocking chairs, they give you something to do, but don't get you anywhere! LOL.
And before I forget - THANK YOU to all who have worked on this, volunteered to work, or given comments, advice and prayers. This is truly a TEAM EFFORT and it's happening now. And do each of you realize that we're doing this BETWEEN headaches. That's really special.
