You have provided me with today's spiritual transfusion.
We are neither special nor cursed because of our afflictions - we just have them. It's what we do with and about them that brings our understanding of those powers greater than us into play.
Even though I am in CH remission right now,
the positive attitude, spiritual defense must be kept up at all times because this DOES affect our lives immensely, 24/7 X 365 -
as does HIV & similar things
and the best way to have the mental spiritual tools ready to HELP fight our CH spells - or any similar chronic problem - is to try our best at all times to keep those tools honed & ready for use
as far as the extremely adamant folks who feel compelled to jam their own spirituality down everybody else's throat -
let 'em rip - - such attitudes are almost ALWAYS based not on the basic truths of any religion, but on the personal twists put on the surficial details by negative, resentful people looking desperately for some way to tell themselves they are superior
and always remember - avoid circular logic at all costs - whether in medical research, intellectual analysis, or spiritual growth
that's when you attempt to use your own sources to prove that those sources are "true";
..or to put it succinctly - one big circle jerk
whenever I hear those words:
"...well, I'M A 'WHATEVER' AND I DON'T BELIEVE...yadda yadda yadda", what I'm hearing is someone actually telling you how their life is based on negativity
don't let 'em fret you - their words prove they are already in a lot more distress (down deep) than they can handle - let 'em go & wish 'em well - they need it
in the meantime, stay on the positive, and good luck !
