I'm not yet completely out of my six month long cycle, but already I'm terrified of the next one. The trick is, I guess, not to let fear completely take over because right-- then there really isn't much of life left.
I try to force myself, even in the face of everything I know, to think that I'm in remission forever, at the time stockpiling the necessary medications for the headaches come. That's really the most you can do. We have a lot more to fear than fear itself, but I still say that if you give yourself over to fear, you're a goner.
And now, with Pollyanna looking over my shoulder in disbelief, I wish you only pain free days ahead.
