NEVER fear your doc. THey are HUMAN (they might not realize it, but they are).

We pay them to TREAT us. Let them know how you feel and if you're not happy with the care you receive - LET THEM and their NURSE know about it. The hell with them being too busy! There IS NO excuse for lousy care.

If you can't verbalize it - put it in writing! If that doesn't work, send a copy to the AMA. I'm just not one to sit quitely and wait. My docs call me back asap and do what they say they will.

The one or two times I've had trouble getting the neuro, I've called my primary doctor and HE got through to the neuro immediately and we didn't have a problem after that. I keep saying this, but you've got to have a working RELATIONSHIP with your doctors. You have to educate them to the fact that you are ILL and that when you call you need help NOW not next week or even 8 hours from now. Yes, they are busy, but YOU are an emergency and they need to get to you immediately. There is NO reason for us to suffer when help is available.

My advice - talk to your neuro about the problem. Get a primary doc you can talk to and call when needed. Build up a working relationship with both. Educate them. But NEVER take any BS from their nurse!

Hope things get better.

Hugs BD
