I had my first cluster attack at the age of nineteen. I was 49 before I was able to get the correct diagnosis. I’m now 62. The only difference that the passage of time has made is that, this year, I finally discovered a doctor who knew about Prednisone, Atenolol, and Verapamil. Thanks to these meds, it’s been nearly three months since the last time that The Demon sank his fishhook into my eye or took his belt sander to my teeth.
