We Cluster Headache sufferers do have many things in common.
Certain facial characteristics, such as a cleft chin, high
intelligence, and the propensity toward perfectionism. This
last one seems to be the one that causes us grief. I know I
was the world's worst when it came to being critical of others.
I expected perfection from myself in everything I did. I still do.
But, it's the unrealistic expectation that others can live up
to my "self imposed" high standards, and the resultant frustration,
that my headaches fed upon.

When I quit being so critical and learned to "chill out".......
my Cluster Headaches left. I've been headache free for over 8 years now.
Thank God.

I had 'em bad for 15 years..... I did all the normal things....from banging my head
on the floor.....to crying like a baby.....to getting teeth pulled.....to taking
narcotics by the handful. I was called a liar by more than one doctor. Called crazy
by others. Suicide never crossed my mind as a way out.....but, I could see how someone
might contemplate it. The pain has been described as exquisite. And if there was ever
a perfect, flawless pain.......THAT IS IT.
