I agree with the connection between light cycles and cluster headaches. I've been reading some CH pathophys. The suprachiasmatic optic region and the posterior hypothalmas seem to both play a part. The meletonin from the peneal gland is activating the hypothalmous. This may in turn stimulate the trigeminal nervous/arterial system -by -a -serotonergic connection. The headache's symptoms result from the vasodialation and nerve pain of the optical branch of the trigeminal system. The part of the puzzle that I am still looking for are the causes for the autonomic symptoms. It is a messy can of worms but this may help to explain why so many remedies can be effective. Let me know if you can help to sort this out. Thank you.
