I posted on the board sometime ago about a lady who started TNA, Trigeminal Neruralgia Assc, that she started in her kitchen.
She used her own funds at first, but now asks for donations, but not required, and, "gifts" like in honor of someone, birthdays ect.
She sends out newsletters and they have had 2 conventions with doctors coming from all over, 100's of TN'ers and facial pain people coming to the conventions.
Little is known of TN just like Clusters. Doctors and dentist don't know beans. That was the reason for TNA and now our "OUCH"
She has all kinds of info to send people about TN and what doctors might be in your area, treatments, ect.
It was started for the same reason we are starting "OUCH." They now have support groups in different parts of the country.
She goes to, or sends someone from a support group, to dental conventions around the country to get the word out to them about Trigemianl Neuralgia.
The part I like about the money is the "gift" idea in honor of someone for something.
Maybe we all could send some money to "OUCH" when we go into remission????
