The fact that your doctors won’t give you Vicodin, Percocet, Darvocet, or some other serious painkiller is amazing! Naproxen is for headaches and not for the pain of a broken bone! My wife’s dentist gave her Vicodin just for a pulled tooth! There should be somebody at that hospital that you can complain to. Find out who it is and raise holy hell!
By the way, this really is a special bulletin board for people who suffer from cluster headaches, which Newsweek once described as “the worst sustained pain that the human nervous system can endure.” People here don’t really intend to be unsympathetic. It’s just that, if you just wait long enough, your pain will eventually be gone and you’ll probably never be bothered with it again as long as you live, even if you don’t take anything but aspirin. I had my first cluster-headache attack at the age of nineteen. I’m now 62 and I still get them. The only thing that keeps the majority of cluster-suffers from committing suicide from the agony is the fact that the headaches come in more-or-less predictable clusters. Each cluster attack that you live through brings you closer to the time when the episode will be over for a while and you can temporarily get your life back. There is NOTHING that is guaranteed to stop the pain of a cluster headache. Clusterheads can eat Vicodin like candy and get NO RELIEF WHATSOEVER..
