I think the new times are welcomed by many in the old world. I did some number crunching to make sure everybody gets the right time. Since eastern time is GMT - 5 hours (at least in winter) the new times are: for the UK and Portugal 19:00 to 21:00, for western Europe 20:00 to 22:00 (they call it Central European Time) and for eastern Europe 21:00 to 23:00. (My watch counts from 0:00 to 23:59 ;) This holds also during summer, since this daylight saving craze seems to be universal.
