It really looks like this cycle could be coming to an end for me too.

It is now nearly 10 days since a breakthrough attack - and that was a fairly mild one by comparison with the usual - and last night I tempted fate by having a glass of beer. No ch. Tonight I pushed my luck further by trying two glasses of beer! So far no cluster.

The shadow also seems to be lifting. It is definitely lighter now. Mid cycle it is heavy and constant throught the day.

I am continuing with 800 mg of Lithium each day and 120 mg of Verapamil. I will stop the Verapamil next week sometime and then if the shadow continues to lift I will reduce the Lithium by half and stop all together once the shadow is completely gone for say seven days or so.

It is always a concern to pass on good news for one person when one knows that others are either just starting or are mid-cycle or have been suffering interminably with a chronic condition. My heartfelt sympathy to all who are in that position. I do recall, however, my own feeling on first finding this web site several weeks ago now (I've almost become an old hand)thinking that well, it's good to hear of others coming out of their cycle because I've got that to look forward to once this hell is over with.

I will be keeping up to date with developments here (I certainly don't want to miss the announcement of the "silver bullet" cure. You'll surely hear it here first, folks) but I will be offline for a little while on holiday with my family. No land-line phone link for the laptop. Only a mobile connecting at very, very slow speed. Probably too slow for reading and moving around the posts on the site.

Bye for now

Laurence
