I'm not CFS, but I've just gotten over my most recent bout. I use Imitrex tabs as abortive and nothing as preventative. I also do not get awakened by CH (and truly feel for those of you who do). Nonetheless, whether from the stress of the attacks or the meds, I don't sleep soundly during an episode and now, more than a week after remission started, still don't.
My theory is that I'm not reaching alpha or REM level sleep, which is required to truly rest. As a result, though I 'rest' enough to function, I'm tired all the time.
