I'm afraid I won't have any simple answers for you here. Night sweats can be caused by totally benign things (room to hot...obvious...nightmares...sometimes caused by steroids) to the less benign...TB, lymphoma, etc. Remember, sweating is a normal reaction to pain, also. Could be you are sleeping through some of your headaches...and simply finding yourself wet in the morning.
It is certainly worth mentioning to your doctor, so he/she can check for more serious things. Most likely, it is something simple and non-harmful...so I wouldn't get overly concerned...but it is always the wise man/woman who checks when new symptoms arise.
I am not aware of this being a common side effect of verapamil, by the way.
