I've used ergotamine, (ercaf cafergot wigraine) for
years. Low dose prophylactic use of ergot is also
recently touted as a treatment option for CH.
Overuse can cause rebound, and chronic daily HA.
I conversed with some folks, including a cousin,
who have had nerves severed surgically. Sounds to
me like a long term solution to a short term prob.,
with long term loss of facial feeling and control.
Just MHO mind you, but,,,,,,"the surgery?" Yech!
