Yea, I had the same experience with prozac,zoloft and effexor XR. Effexor is not that bad. But having libido dysfunctions was depressing in itself. I am no doctor but I do know there are other anti depressants designed specifically to overcome the sexual dysfunction; Serzone ( nefazodone HCL } Remeron (Mirtazapine- i think )
celexa and other types you will find on various sites dealing with depression and anxiety.SSRI's are first choice drugs and CLAIM that libido dysfunctions effect %16 in clinical trials. BULLCRAP. I changed to serzone and the problem went away after nearly 2 years of complete impotence. I also was dumped by my girlfriend because of prozac. I don't blame her; she was much younger than I but she found a guy her own age and I am happy for them. She was a fan of my band, Vigilantes Of Love. I guess I needed my male ego stroked
