I was born in Quincy, Il, by the Mississippi river, and lived there till I got married. Now live in Wichita, Ks. We took my oldest grandson back with us this summer and he couldn't believe the size of the Mississippi River. Now he calls the rivers in Kansas as creeks or run offs.
