Re-reading my post on 'How soon we forget' and the comments on it, I admit it is confoundedly selfish to just disappear. I promise to look in from time to time. I am a text book episodic; you chronic sufferers do not have the fortune to know that a year will pass before another bout.
Re Triggers - it is well known that nitroglycerine will precipitate CH's. Any NITRATE or NITRITE will do the same and they are commonly used in preserved meats, bacon, corned beef etc. I avoid them like the plague when a bout is on, until I'm sure it's over. Watch labels. I very rarely get a CH out of season. though. In my case tobacco is not a trigger, I can smoke a pipe right up to the point where I can't hold it, and it doesn't make it worse; same for alcohol. With migraine, however, both these affected me very badly.
