lc Bob noticed the dearth of oriental suffers on the board. I've noticed another thing - the dearth of people not having English as their native tongue. It's hard to communicate in a foreign language. I find it very awkward myself. There are so many thoughts I can express (write) in Norwegian, but not in English (or American, if you call that English. Sorry, folks.).
Part of the problem is this - I don't like to offend anyone, which is easily done in a language you don't know by daily use. Nuances this way or that, colloqualisms, words implying something you didn't mean - it can be both hard and frustrating. Which fact is not going to shut me up, but it damned sure makes it impossible to post jokes! Glad I don't have - Nancy is doing a hilarious job. Thank you, lady! You too, Amanda.
All this aside, I have tried some of the oriental stuff. Acupuncture worked (I think) when the Demon was young. After he grew to full size the needles just hurt a litle bit more, that was all. Tried a Chinese method, the name of which I disremember, but it's very popular - guy I know even said it cured his dog! Well, I'm not a dog, just feel like it sometimes. Maybe that's why it didn't work.
What works, works - I definitely don't meen to make light of anyone's method for getting relief. But relaxing and meditating when you have a nuke slowly going off in your head? Please!
Erik
