Ergotimine is present in Cafergot. I have been on the pill version of the drug the last 3 or 4 bouts with CH's.
I have also taken it by injection. The pill version is taken routinely, it is ineffective to stop a CH once it starts. It will reduce the frequency of them. The injection is very effective, but quite expensive. My wife happens to be a RN, she was able to give me the injections.
