This was my first year to do Prednisone, in a tapering dose. It knocked the severity and frequency down really fast (in the first three days), but it has taken three "tapers" to get me to where I am today (cycle almost broken). My bad side effects are some weight gain and occasional "hot flashes". They're moderate and tolerable. I'm very pleased. Oxygen has worked all but twice this year -- good luck with it!!
