I believe there is a program developed by pharmaceutical companies that provides free prescription drugs. I think there might be certain income level requirements and of course it's for those who pay out-of-pocket (no drug card through an employer). And of course you're not eligible if you are covered by Medicaid. It also may just be for Seniors, although I am not absolutely sure of that. You can call the Senae Committe on Aging 202-224-5364 or 800-PMA-INFO. They will send you a booklet. I don't know which pharmaceutical companies participate, and which medications are available. Your doctor will have to contact the pharmaceutical company on your behalf though. Try it and let me know how you do. Good Luck.
