A post like this serves to point up the importance of REALLY trying all of the low impact remedies we read about here. Especially the water treatment. It takes real dilligence to drink as much water as is needed, but bodies like water and most people don't drink enough anyway.
Perhaps in light of the long term nature of the beast, we may also need to realign our expectations from pain-free existance to one of managable pain. I'm not trying to sound pedantic or preachy, but I think these long term effects are a real concern to all of us.
May cooler heads prevail
