I think you could do some web searching for the specific on lithium side effects. I was on lithium for a while and remember that the major issue with lithium is that the theraputic dose is just below the toxic dose, so a little juggling of dose may be required. I too experienced some mild tremor, but the dose was lowered and I was fine. As with many meds, I think the real risk from lithium is long-term liver and kidney damage, but encourage you to research.
