Last spring I took prednisone "burst" twice, with
just enough time between to determine that the cycle
had NOT been interrupted. My doc defines "burst" as
3 days at 60mg, 3 days at 40, 3 days at 20, 3 days at 10.
The third "round" was different:
9 days at 60mg
3 days at 40mg
3 days at 20mg
OFF
By the end of the third round I felt pretty confidant that
THIS cycle was history. Indeed, no more CH for over a month.
Whether the prednisone actually did the trick, or whether
I was simply "through" with that cluster cycle remains a mystery.
Unfortunately, July marked the onset of the "summer season" for me.
