Yes, Dramamine did prevent me from reaching REM sleep. In Fact it even did more: it prevented me from reaching any sleep. The first two nights I took it, I lay awake for hours until I got a few 1.5 hours installments of sleep, the demon not being impressed by the drug. On the 3rd and 4th trial the Dramamine had no effect at all and I quit it after that.
But keep your record player going, I hope other people have more success than me,
