The most evocative description that I have ever read of a cluster headache. The only thing worse would be no remission period. That's what mine do. No remission. One continuous cluster headache day and night- no letup for up tosix weeks at a time-on both sides of the head. Cpious amonts of mucous- up to half a pint an hour-I don't know how it is produce so fast. They leave me so debilitated that takes weeks to recover my former self. Fotunately, they only reoccur once every 3 years or so. A doctor has just prescibed a medication known as indomethacin to me (75 mg. 3 times a day). It seems to work. Others, even imitrex, have not had any effect and in some cases even made them worse- if you can even imagine anything worse. Anyway, I will never have another six week episode. If the indomethacin ceases to work I have some 12 ga. slugs and the technology to administer them. The final solution.
